Description

These hash browns in air fryer are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and require minimal oil. Perfect for a quick and healthy breakfast, they cook in just 15 minutes and pair well with eggs, toast, or your favorite dipping sauce.

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for extra crispiness)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Potatoes: Grate the potatoes and rinse them under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch for crispier hash browns.
  • Dry Completely: Squeeze out excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. The drier the potatoes, the crispier the hash browns!
  • Season the Potatoes: In a bowl, mix the grated potatoes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cornstarch. Drizzle with olive oil and mix well.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it heat for 3-5 minutes.
  • Shape & Cook: Form the potato mixture into small patties or spread evenly in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
